A theories → Maya St. Germain

1x1- Pilot: Just a year after Alison went missing, the DiLaurentis family move out, and new girl Maya St. Germain and her family (who we never actually see) move in. Not long after they move in, a body turns up in the backyard of the DiLaurentis family home.

1x2- The Jenna Thing: Spencer meets Maya for the first time whilst practicing in her backyard. Spencer instantly knows who she is an where she lives, and Maya responds to the awkward silence with “New girl moved into dead girl’s house”. Emily and Spencer are both shocked at this response, but later on, Aria receives an A message based upon “dead girl”. This could be a coincidence, but it seems everything A does is just one big coincidence.

2x6- Never Letting Go: In this episode, A buys a pair of boots. Before choosing the ones A eventually wants to buy, there’s great focus on a pair A is looking at before the decision is finally made.

2x12- Over My Dead Body: Whilst Emily and Maya are talking in Hanna’s bedroom, Hanna points out Maya’s shoes, asking if they’re “this season”. The boots Maya is wearing are identical to the ones A was looking at for a while before purchasing a different pair. Maybe A bought both.

2x11- I Must Confess: Maya was sent away to a rehabilitation camp in season 1 after Emily’s mom found out she’d been smoking weed. When Maya went away, so did her family, mysteriously. Jason DiLaurentis moved back into the house and began “renovating”. It was no secret Jason was hiding something, or someone, in that house with windows covered in newspaper.

2x12- Over My Dead Body: Jason is seen taking down the newspaper on his windows, by Spencer and Toby. This is the day after Maya had seen Emily and everyone knew she was back.

A theories → Ezra Fitz

1x4 Can You Hear Me Now?: The liars all see Ezra ride past on his bike and waves to them, not long after they’ve blocked unknown texts and emails. Conveniently, not long after they receive an A message blowing in the wind. They look around to see who could be there, but the last person you’d think to send death threats would be your English teacher, right? Also, in this episode Aria takes interest in a typewriter on the desk at Ezra’s apartment, she also talks to Ezra about her parents fighting and gets into a fight with him over not being seen as an adult. The next day she realises she needs to tell the truth, upon returning home her mom has received a letter from A about Byron’s affair, written with a typewriter.

1x6 There’s No Place Like Homecoming: The A message makes it clear that the liars are going to see A at homecoming, but with so many suspects of who could be A at this point, they still focus on Toby. However, Ezra’s “I figured you’d be here” to Aria, while they had an altercation in the hallway suggests he knew she would be here, as in he’d see her at homecoming.

1x20 Someone To Watch Over Me: Aria sends a text to Ezra about how she wants to be looking into his eyes, which she accidentally sends to her mom. When her mom confronts her, she mentions the eyes frequently. This may have been deliberate since the mention of A’s eyes being interesting occurring twice.

2x12 Over My Dead Body: It’s already been mentioned once how A has interesting eyes, by the woman who sold A the bracelets, when A claimed to be Spencer. But in the mid-season finale, it’s said A has pretty eyes. Interesting could have meant unusual where as pretty means they are nice, if they’re nice I’m sure anyone would like to “look into them”.
